Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our warehouse operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Supervise and lead a team of 15-20 warehouse associates
• Conduct daily team meetings and safety briefings
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members
• Schedule and coordinate staff assignments to meet operational demands
• Foster a positive and productive work environment

Operations Management

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, and shipping
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and safety protocols
• Monitor productivity metrics and implement improvements to meet KPIs
• Coordinate with transportation team for efficient loading and dispatch
• Manage inventory accuracy and cycle counting programs

Quality & Safety

• Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality in all warehouse operations
• Enforce safety regulations and conduct regular safety inspections
• Investigate and report any workplace incidents or safety concerns
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
• Lead safety training initiatives and promote safety awareness

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to streamline warehouse processes
• Implement best practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Collaborate with IT team on warehouse management system optimization
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and lean initiatives
• Analyze operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities

Required Qualifications

Experience & Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3-5 years of warehouse operations experience
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Forklift certification preferred

Leadership Skills

• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with performance management and employee development
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment

Technical Competencies

• Proficiency with WMS and inventory management systems
• Knowledge of warehouse equipment and material handling procedures
• Understanding of shipping and receiving processes
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with barcode scanning systems

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Capability to work in varying temperatures
• Available to work flexible hours including overtime when needed
